What kind of services do you offer?
- Custom signage and architectural lighting solutions, including design and branding services, custom fabrication, installation, signage and lighting service, maintenance and programming.
WHAT KINDS OF ARCHITECTURAL LIGHTING SOLUTIONS DO YOU OFFER?
- We are able to offer our clients a wide range of interior and exterior accent lighting solutions, typically with the goal of emphasizing the architectural features of the buildings, they own and/or occupy. Our team’s robust network of leading technology suppliers, coupled with an ability to build custom CSA-certified lighting fixtures and mounting systems in-house, make us one of western Canada’s only turnkey providers in this space.
What are the fees for a permit?
- While fees can vary by municipality and sign value, sign and electrical permits typically cost anywhere from a few hundred to a couple of thousand dollars. ISC is happy to support our clients throughout the permitting process, including by handling all final submissions on our clients’ behalf.
How will I know if I need engineer stamped drawings for my project?
- ISC is pleased to support our clients by ensuring that all necessary documents, including engineer, stamped drawings, are prepared and reviewed by relevant project stakeholders (e.g., permitting authorities, general contractors) as needed. Your Client Relations Manager, who is dedicated to supporting you throughout your project, will provide you with an overview of which types of documents may be required prior to project kickoff.
Can you apply for the permit for me?
- Yes. ISC is pleased to support our clients by handling all permit applications on their behalf. Our team has experience in working with municipal authorities in cities across North America.
How long does installation take?
- On most projects, our team is able to complete installation, including the final electrical connection, within a single business day. For unusual projects (e.g., large signs at the top of skyscrapers), installation may take place over a period of several days. This would be communicated prior to the project kickoff.
Do the signage and lighting products ISC builds come with any certifications?
- As a CSA certified facility, we are pleased to be able to provide our clients in Canada with illuminated signage and custom lighting products that meet the required electrical standards. Additionally, we are able to produce signage and lighting products that meet the US and other international standards.
Does ISC hold any certifications as a company?
- ISC holds numerous certifications, related to quality (e.g., CSA), health and safety (e.g., ContractorCheck), governance, risk management and compliance (e.g., ComplyWorks) and sustainability (e.g., Climate Smart).

- ISC is a worldwide industry leader in sustainability. We are proud to be North America’s first Climate Smart certified illuminated signage manufacturer and have set a goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2021.
